Established 1994, Hammer and Hand is a jewellery and metal collective based in the Salamanca Arts Centre in Hobart, Tasmania and the Art Precinct at 10 Station St, Bangalow, New South Wales.

Two beautiful and inviting Studio Galleries, both open seven days a week,  with members of the collective at the Bench every day of the week!

The collective offers its members, a retail Showroom/Gallery, a business address and a small, fully equipped jewellery making studio. Members trade and operate as individual businesses under the umbrella of the collective.

Hammer and Hand has also served as an incubator, since 1994, for micro business, playing a mentoring role to those members that have started out as newly self employed artists & craftspersons . There are about nine members at each location.

At both its locations Hammer and Hand Jewellery and Metal Collective is known and loved by locals and visitors alike. Admired for its eclectic jewellery and metal work, including forged iron pieces, stainless steel utensils, sculpture, and art cards, but with the emphasis always on the authentic. Bench made jewellery, metal smithing and metal Sculpture.
